It's... a bit of both, I suppose. She is the guardian of Saturn as well as the Goddess of Death.

I am, yes, though some of it is also due to Trench doing what Trench does.

I am, yes, though Moon Presence is the goddess of Trench's moon, but I am the goddess of the moon back in my world and Earth's guardian.

Yeah, this place has its own deities. [ She seems to know how to get along with others like her, unlike another god he knows. ] Do the other planets have guardians too?

[ Nico has learned a lot about John's reality, mostly through someone who wants little to do with the god. ]

Yes, they do. Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all have guardian goddesses. Only Earth doesn't have one, that is why I watch over her. There are other guardians outside of solar system as well and some guardians from asteroids and moons as well.

[frankly he probably gave this to nico in sanctuary, pointedly earlier than the party by several days. making it a little less pointedly christmas, since nico seems to not be a fan. for good reason.

regardless the gift is two-fold. one is the thing he mentioned, a small metal disc about the size of nico's palm with a coldblood gem in the middle. flipping a switch at the side makes a bubble of warmth, enough to keep nico and anyone standing close to him warm. it's a pleasant heat, like a warm spring day. there is a latch so it can be put on his belt or backpack.

the other? an old gameboy, with not fourth wall break pokemon blue. it's clearly been fixed up, there's areas that are patched and new and very Viktor in style.

I still find these holidays bizarre, I'll admit. Given 'Santa' has tried to kill me twice I imagine that is allowed, though I won't hold the Trench's nonsense against the mythical figure.

I loathe sentimentality but you are a remarkable young man who could use a break. I found this on the Far Shores a long time ago and fixed it. It uses lunar power, I'm afraid the 'games' will be difficult to find but I hope it will be enjoyable regardless with one.

[ nico will find a small pair of hand-wrapped gifts left in D's coffin for him. the larger one is a... rock, complete with a cute little face, but the second one is a coldblood pillar necklace that will glow in the dark when he needs it to.
