Really, it's fine. Though if you and your friend are ever interested in cooking with a group, me and a couple of my friends get together on the regular.
Yep, that's him. He's famously quoted for saying "God is dead" but it's more than that, the point is that "god is dead and we killed him" as a result of the Enlightenment and the triumph of scientific theory and thought. It's basically the rejection of universal and moral law. Though it's applied almost exclusively to Christian religion and the sects under it. He liked Buddhism just fine.
He admired the Greeks for one. He was particularly fond of Greek tragedy plays. According to some of the MANY things he said, myth, in some ways, was the expression of needs of the community.
There's a lot more but yeah, Nietzche had whole treatises on Greek myth and plays.
Huh, I might have to look into some of his stuff. I spent some of my early years growing up in Italy, then found out that Greek deities are real where I come from. It'd be cool to see how this guy saw it all.
If they have his literature here, then yeah, I would recommend him. I like a lot of his philosophies. Though, if Greek gods are real in your world, freedom from the shadow of God is going to likely come across as foolish and he's not.
The omnis could sort of be considered the internet here, it stores a lot of different media. If someone has read a book or seen a video, other people can search for it.
Yeah, your omni will translate it for you. Mine actually translates written text into ancient Greek because otherwise letters get all mixed up in my head. Your texts are coming to me in Greek, and I'm writing back in that language.
... Interesting. And it does that for speech too, I'm assuming, seeing as I didn't switch out of Japanese earlier and I still understood everyone who replied.
Yep, universal translator. It might work even when you aren't using the omni to talk to someone, but doing it in person. One of my cooking partners is Japanese, but I've never had trouble understanding her.
